Oshawa city council will hold a public meeting Jan. 12 to receive comments concerning the proposed two-phased approach to the Hwy 407 east extension.

The provincial government’s recent announcement that the planned extension of Highway 407 to Highway 35/115 is proposed to be split into two phases comes as a major disappointment to Durham region as well as the cities of Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes, the city said.

The meeting will be held at 6 pm at Oshawa city hall.
