Terrance McKibbon appointed chief operating officer of Aecon
TORONTO
Terrance L. McKibbon, who has served as executive vice-president of Aecon Group Inc. and CEO of Aecon’s infrastructure division, has been appointed the group’s chief operating officer.
McKibbon, who has been with Aecon since 1996, will assume leadership of Aecon’s operations across the company, reporting to chairman and CEO John M. Beck.
“Teri is an outstanding executive and one of the strongest operational leaders I’ve worked with in all my years in this industry,” Beck said.
“The combination of Teri’s proven abilities and his deep understanding of our business makes this a very logical step for Aecon, our clients and our shareholders.” McKibbon is a trustee of the Labourers International Union of North America, based in Washington D.C., and the Operating Engineers Local 793 Training Fund, based in Ontario.
He is a former president of the Canadian Pipeline Contractors Association and the Ontario Hot Mix Producers Association as well as a former board member of the Ontario Road Builders’ Association and the Utility Contractors Association.
Paul P. Koenderman, executive vice-president of Aecon Group Inc. and previously CEO of Aecon’s industrial group, remains executive vice-president and assumes the position of executive chairman of the industrial group.
Aecon Group Inc. is Canada’s largest, publicly traded construction and infrastructure development company. Aecon and its subsidiaries provide services to private and public sector clients throughout Canada and on a selected basis internationally.
