Acklands-Grainger acquires hardware distributor Fercomat of Baie-Comeau, Quebec

Acklands-Grainger Inc. announced Monday it has acquired the assets of Fercomat Inc., a Baie-Comeau, Quebec distributor which sells cutting tools, fasteners, material handling equipment and other equipment and supplies to the construction industry.

A subsidiary of Forest Lake, Illinois-based W.W. Grainger Inc. (NYSE: GWW), Acklands-Grainger distributes a variety of equipment and supplies including plumbing and electrical equipment, tools, paints, adhesives, safety storage and spill control.

Fercomat was founded in 1957.

Acklands-Grainger has more than 120,000 products from 175 branches and six distribution centres.
