Northwestern Ontario Water, Wastewater Conference opens doors in Thunder Bay, Ontario

The two-day Northwestern Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference is taking place in Thunder Bay, Ontario, October 27 and 28.

The event is taking place at the Valhalla Inn .

The Northwestern Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference says it provides technical education and training for hundreds of water quality experts.

According to the organizer, attendees can learn about changes to the Ontario Ministry of the Environment approval processes, innovations in storm water management around the Great Lakes, drinking water treatment system design, asset management and process improvements in water and wastewater.

Northwestern Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference features Maude Barlow, National Chairperson of The Council of Canadians, as a guest speaker. The Council of Canadians is a lobby group which opposes the North American Free Trade Agreement, World Trade Organization negotiations, the proposed TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. Keystone XL pipeline and Canada’s participation in the security, development and reconstruction mission in Afghanistan.
