Greg Merke appointed Brandon, Manitoba senior building inspector

The city of Brandon, Manitoba announced this week that Greg Merke has been appointed to the role of senior building inspector.

Merke, who has 30 years experience in construction, has been working in the role since February, 2011.

Merke’s work will focus on addressing illegal suites, updating the Building Safety and Property Standards bylaw to bring it in line with 2010 Code requirements, upgrading the policies for administering the buildings bylaw and education for the city’s building inspection staff.

Merke’s appointment takes effect immediately and will be retroactive to April 1, 2011.
