EllisDon scores employer three-peat

MISSISSAUGA, Ont.

EllisDon has achieved a historic three-peat as Canada’s top employer in an Aon Hewitt Study.

The 13-year-old study places the construction services company at the top of the 2012 50 Best Employers in Canada, which appeared in the Oct. 31 issue of Maclean’s magazine.

EllisDon is one of two companies in the 50 Best Employers in Canada study to achieve first place status three times.

News of this win comes on the heels of EllisDon having been named, for the third consecutive year, as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, based on the editorial project managed by Mediacorp Canada, Inc.

Aon Hewitt’s ranking is based on the results of employee engagement. Study findings indicate that organizations with high employee engagement enjoy tangible benefits, including a greater ability to attract and retain key talent.

“Those organizations ranked highest on the list have employee engagement of close to 90 per cent,” said Neil Crawford, Aon Hewitt’s leader of the 50 Best Employers in Canada study. “That’s an impressive accomplishment, particularly now when many parts of the Canadian economy are showing signs of recovery and employee attraction and retention is becoming more challenging.”

EllisDon’s 1,400 employees share the same level of engagement throughout the more than 10 offices and 100 job sites coast-to-coast.
