Moncton, New Brunswick flag person injured by steamroller

MONCTON, N.B.

A woman working as a flag person on a roadway project in Moncton has been seriously injured by a steamroller.

RCMP say the piece of heavy equipment hit the woman around 1 p.m. on Monday at the corner of Lewisville and Shediac roads.

The woman in her 30s was sent to hospital with serious injuries to her lower body.

Provincial health and safety officials are investigating.
