Workers evacuated after crew hits gas line at Regina construction site

REGINA

Workers had to be evacuated from an apartment building under construction after a crew ripped open a natural gas line on Wednesday.

Sask Energy's Dave Burdeniuk says a piece of heavy equipment hit the line above ground, and they'll need to dig the line up to get the gas turned off.

He says the workers were evacuated because they were getting gas readings from inside the building.
