Temple REIT announces acquisition of Regina Wingate Inn

Temple Real Estate Investment Trust of Winnipeg (TSXV: TR.UN) announced this week it has acquired the Wingate Inn in Regina for $16.15 million. Located at 1700 Broad Street at Saskatchewan Drive, the seven-storey Wingate Inn has 118 guest rooms, a 6,000-square-foot restaurant, meeting facilities and a fitness centre.

Temple REIT already has hotels in Alberta (in Lloydminster, Red Deer and Fort McMurray) and in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

The Wingate Inn is across from Casino Regina and two blocks from the site of the proposed new stadium for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. That site is currently a Canadian Pacific Railway yard.
