Lawyer Paul Emanuelli to chair Canadian Institute public procurement event in Ottawa

Business conference organizer The Canadian Institute announced Monday its ninth annual Advanced Guide to Public Procurement, scheduled January 24-25 in Ottawa, will include case studies of major infrastructure projects in Canada.

The event chairman is Paul Emanuelli, General Counsel and Managing Director of The Procurement Office.

Emanuelli, author of the Government Procurement textbook, published by LexisNexis Butterworths, writes a column in the Daily Commercial News called Bid Protest Bulletin.

At the Advanced Guide to Public Procurement, Emanuelli is scheduled to lead a full-day pre-conference master class on January 23. Dubbed Step-by-Step Guide to Drafting Solid Enforceable Procurement Documents, the session is intended to provide delegates with drafting techniques to conform with plain language requirements.

The conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel at 150 Albert Street in Ottawa (about three blocks south of the Parliament Buildings) and is aimed at procurement professionals from the industry, legal and government sectors.
