Mark Laroche gets second term as Canada Lands president

Canada Lands Company announced Wednesday that its president and chief executive officer, Mark Laroche, has been appointed to a second-five year term.

Canada Lands manages, redevelops and sells surplus federal properties. Laroche’s second term starts in July, 2012.

Projects include the construction by Ripley Entertainment Inc. of an aquarium on Canada Lands property near the CN Tower in Toronto, the Pleasantville development in St. John’s Newfoundland, the acquisition of the Pointe-du-Moulin pier and its Silo No. 5 on the Montreal waterfront and the final phase of the Currie Barracks development in Calgary.
