Saint Laurent, Quebec awards architectural design contracts
The Montreal borough council of Saint-Laurent voted last week in favour of three contracts totaling more than $143,000 to prepare plans and specifications for park development.
In its meeting Jan. 10, the Saint-Laurent council also authorized staff to invite bids for the stripping, cleaning and painting of eight swimming pool basins, 10 wading pools and 14 water play areas.
Saint-Laurent, located about 12 kilometres west of downtown Montreal, is one of the city’s 19 boroughs, or arrondissements. The borough council authorized the award of two contracts to Groupe Seguin Lacasse Inc. One, valued at $51,136.95, is for the preparation of plans for the final design for the parks and green spaces in the Challenger West residential development. The other is for $49,358.01 for the preparation of plans and specifications for the development and renovation of Parc Poirier.
The borough council also authorized the award of a $42,721.88 contract to Beaupre and Associes experts-conseils Inc. for the preparation of plans and specifications for the development and renovation of Parc Beaudet.
