| Project: | QUARRY: centred at the junction of Talc Creek & Daioff Creek (eight Km E of Harrison Lake) & will include topsoil stockpiles, sedimentation ponds, above-ground fuel tank (surrounded by a lined berm), equipment maintenance area, self-contained office, first aid station & dry facilities. HAUL ROAD: the connecting quarry-plant road will be an upgraded forest road that will utilize the existing logging road network (Ruby & Garnet Creek Rds), but will require some bridge repairs, road drainage, alignment & turn-outs. PLANT SITE: 90 hectare site, between Mahood creek & Ruby Creek. The plant capacity is 125,000 tonnes per yr of electrolytic magnesium metal & will use the standard STI/VAMI carnallite-based process. The site has readily accessible power, gas & transportation corridors. |
