Honore-Mercier Bridge: Ceremony of inauguration for the opening of the Ramp Nº3 in direction of Châteauguay on 31 August 2010
The Mohawk expertise
KAHNAWAKE, QC, Aug. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - Mohawk Bridge Consortium (MBC) is proud to invite the medias to the inauguration ceremony of the opening of the Ramp Nº3 of the Honoré-Mercier bridge. This ramp allows users to cross the St-Lawrence River between Montreal to Châteauguay. The ceremony will be held on the Ramp Nº3 and the assembly point will be at the offices of MBC this Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 12:30.
After the opening ceremony, the medias are invited to a luncheon to be held in the Territory.
MBC wants to acknowledge the excellence of the Mohawk workers and their high degree of competency, without them the realization of extensive work to strengthen the structure and to replace the roadway deck on ramp Nº3 could not be executed. Mohawk workers have an international reputation for such works.
This work was carried out with the highest standards of quality within a tight schedule, without having ever public or workers security neglected and with the respect for Mother Earth. In addition, there has been little or no impact on the bridge users.
MBC hopes that this success story be a model for the present and future Mohawk generations.
MBC expects that this will consolide the pride of the Mohawk nation, moreover it strengthens the cooperation with Quebec businesses, and enhances the perception of Quebecers to them. This has often being challenged by misleading and untruthful statements aimed at undermining the credibility of the Mohawks.
MBC, a consortium of three Mohawk partners, was awarded the contract for Phase A - rehabilitation work of the Honoré-Mercier bridge in the framework of a design-build project.
