Canadian Automobile Dealers Association Chief Economist Fall Economic Update

OTTAWA, Sept. 2 /CNW/ -

WHO:    Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) Chief Economist Michael Hatch

WHAT:   CADA Chief Economist will hold a media teleconference to provide his fall economic update on the state of the retail automotive industry in Canada.

WHEN:   Friday, September 3rd 2010 at 12:00 PM EDT

CALL IN:  (888) 231-8191, Conference ID# 98449328

WHY:   Though growth has slowed in recent months, car sales remain very strong in Canada. This summer has seen monthly sales return to nearly pre-recession peaks. However car dealers - and all Canadian businesses - still face headwinds as unemployment refuses to return to pre-recession levels. Also, the inevitable withdrawal of fiscal stimulus in 2011 means consumers will have to do more to keep the economy growing beyond next year.
