Catch the Wind announces management change
MANASSAS, VA, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - Catch the Wind Ltd. (TSX-V: CTW), developer and manufacturer of the Vindicator(R) laser wind sensor (LWS) and other wind sensor products, announced today that Robin Roge, CPA, has been appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company, succeeding David Samuels effective immediately.
Ms. Roge has more than 25 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, working with a number of public and private companies. Since 2009, she has served as Director of Accounting of the Company and has performed its Controller function. Ms. Roge will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and reporting for the Company until a permanent replacement is hired.
Mr. Chris Lowe, who was recently appointed as an independent director of the Company and serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee, will provide oversight of Catch the Wind's financial activities. Mr. Lowe, a senior financial executive with more than 17 years of experience in the investment banking and energy sectors, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Noble Environmental Power.
In connection with the management change, Catch the Wind has retained the services of an independent financial advisor who will provide counsel to Ms. Roge, and drive the Company's funding and capital markets initiatives. The financial advisor brings specific expertise in the renewable energy sector and has more than 20 years of finance and capital markets experience, including public-company experience as a chief financial officer.
