Repli de la demande de logements dans la région de Kitchener-GuelphTORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - 5 nov. 2012) - Selon l'édition de l'automne du rapport Perspectives du marché de l'habitation pour la région métropolitaine de recensement (RMR) de Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo (KCW) et celle de Guelph, publié aujourd'hui par la Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement (SCHL), la demande de logements va ralentir en 2013, tant sur le marché de l'existant que sur celui du neuf. Parallèlement, les prix de revente resteront stables dans les deux RMR.
« L'an prochain, la demande provenant des accédants à la propriété et des acheteurs d'une habitation d'un cran supérieur va un peu ralentir sur le marché de l'existant, car la lenteur de la croissance économique, l'incertitude financière mondiale et le resserrement des conditions d'emprunts hypothécaires affaibliront les ventes. Le nombre annuel de transactions va ainsi reculer, mais la demande de logements se renforcera pendant la deuxième moitié de 2013, grâce à l'amélioration de la conjoncture économique et à la stabilité des prix », a déclaré Erica McLerie, analyste principale de marché pour KCW et Guelph à la SCHL.
