Higher Demand for Housing in WindsorLONDON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2012) - The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) released its Fall Housing Market Outlook report for the Windsor Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) today. Demand for both resale homes and new homes will increase in 2013. Prices in the resale home market will increase at a rate close to inflation in 2013 in Windsor.
"Demand for resale homes from both first-time and repeat buyers will increase slightly in 2013 as economic growth in the U.S translates into jobs in Windsor-Essex. A return to population growth will support greater new home construction in 2013," said Margot Stevenson, CMHC Market Analyst for the Windsor CMA.
As Canada's national housing agency, CMHC draws on more than 65 years of experience to help Canadians access a variety of quality, environmentally sustainable and affordable housing solutions. CMHC also provides reliable, impartial and up-to-date housing market reports, analysis and knowledge to support and assist consumers and the housing industry in making informed decisions.
