2. September 15, 2009 — Union employees are required to pay dues. That is fair. A portion of those dues go to support the New Democratic Party. You cannot opt out, nor can you designate your portion to go to another party. That is not fair.
The recent union certification of a Wal-Mart store took place totally contrary to any of the Labor Relations Board rules yet it was sustained by them. Union support inside Wal Mart is almost non-existent. Employees have nothing to gain and must simply start paying money to the union. Respond to this comment

1. September 11, 2009 — The City of Hamilton has been certified by Local 18 AFL-CIO. This means that a monoply has been given to general contractors in this area who are signature to the AFL-CIO Local 18 union. Firms who are open shop or Christian Trade union contractors cannot bid on publically funded work. Is this fair?
