Phase one of Remington Group Hi Rise’s Downtown Markham project

Rebar work progresses on Phase One of the Downtown Markham development in Markham, Ont. Owner/general contractor Remington Group Hi Rise Division began the residential/retail project in May 2007 and it includes a 10-storey building and three-seven storey buildings with approximately 431-units, and two levels of underground parking. The project was designed by Quadrangle Architects Ltd. Consultants are Jablonsky, Ast & Partners (structural) and Able Engineering (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Anpro Excavating & Grading; Rumble Foundations (Ontario) Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Resform Construction Ltd.; Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Architectural Precast Systems; Dufferin Concrete; Village Masonry Construction; Primo Mechanical Inc.; Speedy Electric Contractor Ltd.; Aluminum Window Designs Ltd.; Protech Roofing Waterproofing Ltd. (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
