Toronto condo developers recognized for architecture at the International Property Awards

South Beach Condos and Lofts in Toronto won two major awards at the recent International Property Awards - Americas Region awards gala held in London, England in December.

The Development was awarded "Best High-Rise Architecture" and "Best Mixed-Use Architecture" for Canada.

South Beach Condos and Lofts is a mixed use project that embodies the architecture, colours and vibe of South Beach in Miami. The development combines two 27-storey residential towers, an amenity area totaling approximately 40,000 square feet and a 16,000-square-foot retail gateway embodying the Art Deco design of South Beach.

All elements of the development were designed to capture the design, look and feel of vibrant South Beach.

The two art deco inspired towers each incorporate solar powered LED lit "crowns" and iconic slivers that run from ground to the top.

The development's amenities include a glass-enclosed indoor pool, outdoor pool surrounded by cabanas, fitness centre, yoga rooms, squash court, basketball court, movie screening room, guest suites and residents lounge.

The International Property Awards based in England are judged by a panel of over 80 experts who cover all aspects of residential and commercial real estate.

The competition invites leading developers, architects, designers and other real estate professionals from around the world. The awards are split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, UK and USA.
